Anyone heard much on the new horror flick 'The Strangers'? I saw an advanced screening of it and almost had to leave. It was bloody frightening, not to mention based on true events--which gave it another level of creepiness.

I highly recommend it if you're a fan of horror or just want to see a movie that doesn't suck! I've heard conspiracy theories that it's based on true events. I've heard Manson murders and also the Keddie murders. I am trying to confirm this, but so far, only theories. Anyway, here is the trailer:

as far as the movie goes, hollywood puts out 90% shit. I've never been a hardcore fan of horror films.

so they are TELLING everyone, what they are about, but like many other truths, it is never talked about on the teevee except is rare veiled references that people don't get anyways.

Sorry, but I don't get how hearing that this movie is based on true events such as the Manson and Keddie murders would make it a conspiracy.

To what end are the producers conspiring?

Well, I think nowadays 'conspiracy' is a pretty loose term. Look at all the subsections in this forum for instance. Anyway, getting back to the film-- the reason I posted is because it feels like the producers are trying to create a sort of conspiracy with this movie in that they are saying it is based on true events, but there is no real concrete evidence of what those events are.
